Supported by the Republic of Turkey Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) and BEDAŞ, and coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülşen Taşkın of our institute, this two-year project aims to enhance the detection of power outages and strengthen rapid response processes after disasters through satellite-based monitoring of lighting infrastructure. By integrating data from multiple satellite sources, failures, attacks, or disaster-related interruptions can be identified swiftly, while the developed artificial intelligence models will deliver precise, real-time information to repair teams, accelerating the reactivation of the energy network.
