Our institute member Assoc.Prof. Mehmet Baris Can Ulker's study named “Understanding constitutive behavior of unsaturated soils: A novel model that accounts for two-way coupled hydro-mechanical behavior including hydraulic hysteresis” was published on 20th International Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ICSMGE), Sydney, Australia.
The paper focuses on the work funded by the TUBITAK project titled “Constitutive Modeling of Hydromechanical Behavior of Unsaturated Soils with their Use in Engineering Practice”, where developed a constitutive model for predicting the hydro-mechanical behavior of unsaturated soils. This is one of its kind model developed for the first time in Turkey and is called UNSATURK 1.0.
