Our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Gülşen Taşkın and her colleagues contributed a chapter to the book “Advances in Machine Learning and Image Analysis for GeoAI”. This chapter reviews the state-of-the-art in applying Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) techniques, aimed at addressing the lack of interpretability in deep learning methods for remote sensing and Earth observation applications.
